The action is based on the "sketchy effect" that got the Photo-Art forum started a while back. (Check out this thread.) It was inspired by the results I got on Manipulation Challenge #18, which happens to be a Tiger hence the name of this action.
It utilizes various blend modes, the Photocopy and Gaussian Blur filters, plus a copy of the original image converted to bitmap mode created in and copied from a separate image.
The result is reminiscent of a combination of Threshold, Posterization, Stamp and Photocopy all rolled into one. To me what makes the results of this action unique (and worthy of preserving in an action) is the considerably higher level of detail achieved over plain ol' Threshold and/or Stamp, while retaining the stark contrast of these effects.
