  • image to play with

Here is a photo I took this weekend at Port Aransas on the Gulf Coast. I took it with my iPhone and then used DAP to give it an artsy look. I would like to see what other members of this forum might do with it.

      Hello Dak and 0lBaldy !

That great shots. I love colorful sky.

I set blend mode: multiply and artistic > Apply canvas in GIMP.

      Thank you for nice playing.

Can't remember exactly what I did, but was going for an impressionistic look.

Not sure if I'm pleased with this or not... Mostly played with colors and reflections and had too many layers to keep track of what I did.

Great location and light. Cropped it horizontal to pull the eye into the boats, cloned out foreground posts, increased local contrast of the boats, decreased the saturation of the sky, increased contrast of sky. Added a bleed to the low values and added grain to emulate pictorial photography processes, added 10% vignette at 40 pixels, then smart sharpen.

What a lovely capture Dak and many cool interpretations too. Thought that a few adjustments followed by Fotosketcher would work here.

                        Becky,

The more I look at yours, the more I like it!

Thank you, Dak. I was thinking the same thing. I really like how the colors turned out and the modest amount of smudging really seemed to add life to the water. It was a fun image to play with.
