Skip - nice 'etching' - the ragged edges are really nice
Skip - beautifully simplified and great texture
Fran - wonderful illustrative effect...I like how the bottom of the house turned purple
Fran - what a pretty watercolor boat!
Lyle - that's a gorgeous impressionistic cottage
Lyle - lol, that really emphasized the similarity in perspective to another famous Dutch painting.
I've been so busy with DH's pictures in Lightroom and DS's videos in Final Cut Pro X that I've had NO time to play with photomanipulations
Thanks so much for these lovely images! It's also very satisfying to see someone else's part of the world. It feels good to do some "artifying" on this site again!
Skip- yes the chimneys are from an eel smokery behind the boat. Nice that you got rid of them-make the pretty sky seem so much more open.
Veronica- wouldn't that second one be wonderful hanging on a wall somewhere? Loved the increased dynamic range treatment in your first edit- made the wall turn such a pretty shade of blue.
Alex-Delightful! As always your cottages are sooooo charming and that last one has some amazing colors.
