I like 'em both, Patricia. This action sure has a lot of potential and opened my eyes to the possibilities of the Apply Image filter. I like your Sherri sketch action version too - a LOT!

I tried out the action on a couple of the images from the weekly challenge on another list, this one is going to be a great one! Thanks, Mike. Now I have to go play with a different effect, there's so much to choose from . . .

CLICK HERE if you are not familiar with the APPLY IMAGE command. ~Danny~

    http://homepages.slingshot.co.nz/~mikefinn/action.html
    Bottom of page.

This action creates snapshots in the"History Palette".

You use "Apply Image" command to combine two or more of these snapshots to create a different image. Read the "Readme" in zip file and HAVE FUN.

Combining Photoshop Actions Into a Set
    by Scribe
Can someone please tell me if it is possible to take a group of individual actions, that have already been installed, and collect them into their own, new action set?

I have tried creating a new set and then dragging the targeted actions individually into the new set, but they don't go...

A gratitude post for a great action script
    by RalphBenmurgia
I bounced in here about a few days ago, when doing a search trying to remember where I downloaded an action called feivalls gothic glow (one of my favorite action scripts. I noticed a thread about an action for a sketching effect, and I downloaded it and gave it a whirl, I was floored with the results...

Actions, the Mother of all Photoshop Photo Art action collections
    by DannyRaphael
Click HERE to be taken to a thead where an absolutely super collection of photo-art actions can be downloaded.

Click HERE for more actions, albeit usually (but not always) more general in nature. But if you're an action hound, it's definitely worth a look.

It is called "Gothic View" and it ended up in "My Documents". Unzipped it and it opened PH7 but I can't find it to use it in PhotoShop7. Thanks for any help!!

    Calling one action from another
    by mark pernal
I'm wondering...is there a way to call one action from another?

I've seen an example of that, but it involved calling one action from another INSIDE the same SET. What I'm wondering is, is there a way to call an action from a different set?

    Thanks.
