  • Free alternatives to Commercial plug-in SPlat

In Vitaly's wonderful tutorial on creating watercolour images, he refers to a plug-in called 'Splat' to create a paper texture from several texture images he supplies.

Is anyone aware of any free alternatives to this plug-in?

    TIA.

If you have a tube or gimp image hose, you can do something similar using a cool Density Map Script-fu that RobA created (see this post for some fill examples; note your frame can be the fill so it can be applicable). Can't be any cheaper then free.

Thanks, Lyle. Not played at all with GIMP. But I'll check it out anyhow.
