I was aiming for a pen and ink wash. Not quite there yet, but I quite liked them.

I'd forgotten about this post and am glad someone brought it back to the forefront with new work. Kudos to those who have put new posts and for contributing artwork for our viewing pleasure.

Thanks, Fran. I'm still not comfortable using the AHB; there are aspects of the portrait that I'm not happy with. I spent a lot of time mucking around with tolerances, opacities etc to see how they affected the brushes. I'm going to write to Santa for a tablet.

Another attempt with the AHB and a random watercolour filtered background.

I just can't help myself - portraits are made for sketches.

Isolating him from BG and handsome digital frame definitely adds some class.

Great photo...so many fine interpretations. This one used the Impresssionist Plugin with layers and adjustments in Pbotoshop.

Here's one done with Topaz Adjust psychedelic preset. Then I masked out the lenses to use the original, which I ran thru Topaz Detail to bring out the reflections...I love reflections

When I first saw this picture I thought Palms needs to do a smudge on this one for sure. I'll start it off.
