    What do you think of my first sketch?
    by kliph
    I love this site! I wish I could pick a style and stick with it. I have always thought that this picture of my wife had potential. This is my rendition. What do you think? I used the basic sketch outline of tamroon.

      Christine;

      Your 'painting' is really great..

      If she looks like that at 12 - - she could have a career in modeling

        I'm actually going to stick my neck out and say I hope she doesn't go into modeling, that she doesn't get into a system that places emphasis on false values, and that she has a chance to grow straight, strong, and true. Nevertheless, she is beautiful. I hope her inner beauty will be valued as well.

            finally a little time to play this started out as my gaussian blur/darken process and evolved into some oddball steps, including one script from psp 10.

              craig, glad to hear that you have time to play again -- i've been reading your thread on your computer nightmare and empathize with you.

              i really like what you've done with julia -- no filter forge?

                  Here my go at it, this was done in PSP X.
                  This is a little more that a sketch, this is my blending stick sketch with color.

                  When I was doing this I didn't bother to fix the background, I left it the way it was......

                          There's one problem with that tut, you need a wacom pen to be able to get the same kind of effect, using a mouse won't cut it..... I know, I tried.

                            feel free to have a go at her -- i'd love to see what others could do with her.

                              A Wacom tablet is required. Even better: A Wacom Cintiq21.

                                Such a beautiful pic of a beautiful girl, this is only the second smudge I've done on a face, I hope you like my rendition.
                                My trouble when I'm smudging is, I never know when to stop!
