    Painting suggestions wanted

Hi, I'm looking for a little help on a recent project. Attached are the original image and the painting I am working on. The painting will be output on canvas at 16 x 20 (my image files are higher resolution of course). The problem is that the face still looks too photographic. I can't make this...

    Should I order Painter8 ?
    by paulette conlan
    Hi

Not sure of the right place to post this but this looked like a good place to start.

Got an early Christmas gift of a Wacom pen tablet and they are offering me Corel Painter 8 at the upgrade price. Wondering how much I would use it if I get it. A version of the Painter...

    Japanese Garden Painting -Critiques Please
    by Photomaster
I'm looking for your assessments of this painting. Such as: artistic merit, composition, asthetics, technique or your overall impression. Be honest, I can take it (I hope). Thanks.

For this piece I used Corel Painter IX, Photoshop and a pen tablet. To start I scanned a photo of the garden....

    1st effort with Painter
    by malia01us
WOW...I just got Painter IX and this is the first time I've ever owned or tried to use Painter. I love it already!!!!

Anyway, this isn't too spectacular, but it came out ok. I got the paint too "clumpy" in places, but I'll learn...

    (I used a stock photo...

    Painter IX question re:Alt key
    by dws2434
When I'm in the Cloner brushes and I happen to have the alt key depressed and click on the canvas, I get (momentarily) a number 1 with a green dot over it.. sometimes beside it. What does that mean and will my painting be affected afterward? I can't find anything on this.

Re: The secret to using Corel Painter

I never use Corel Painter but I use photoshop CS4 and photoscape.

I like to try Corel Painter. I need download link.

I adjust Oil Painting and Color Enhance in Photoscape.

Lynn, check Corel's website and see if they have a Painter 11 demo you can download and try.

I check Effects and Others did not have effects on Jing Video. Corel Painter does not have filters.

Painter does have filters, although not as many as PS.
In addition, one can use third party filters with Painter exactly same way you do in PS.
