  • Who has stitching software?

Who knows where or who has the software used to stitch two scans together. For example two halves of an oversized image stitched together. It seems I have heard of some somewhere.

This one is supposed to be good for stitching, and also has photo improvement features that go beyond PS native abiilities. It's also free.

Photoshop Elements has a pretty decent stitching function in it called PHOTOMERGE. Also it is not that hard to do manually with the regular Photoshop package

One of the best is Panavue Image Assembler but it is pretty expensive

I seem to recall someone (Doug maybe?) posted instructions for getting the PhotoMerge function from Photoshop Elements into Photoshop so it would appear in the File menu in PS and could be used right there.

I remember following the instructions and making it work, but forget how it was done.

If none of these suggestions pan out for you, I successfully stitched two scans together by putting the two sides on separate layers and then lowering the opacity of the upper layer so you could see the lower later through it. Then it was a matter of moving the upper layer until it matched and then returning the opacity to 100%

          Take care, Margaret

            Auto image align software?
            by Doug Nelson
I loathe tripods. It's not that I don't recognize their value, I just find lugging them around hinders my creative process. But I do like to bracket my exposures, which is fine if you find one of the bracketed exposures is better than the rest, but not so much if you want to combine them into one image...

Not sure where to go to ask this so am starting here. I am interested in doing a morph from one image to another. on web search, i found "Fantamorph".

Does anyone have any feedback about Fantamorph? Or, are there other software programs available for this?

            Panoramas
            by paulatt
[I am sure if I wade through all the threads there will be some guidance on the best way to stitch several pictures together to form a panorama. Unfortunately I have limited time on a dial up speed connection. Can anyone give me a few pointers please?

            Considering software
            by memphishooter
I am wondering what is the best software I can get and get into to work on my pictures after the fact? I end up shooting skin colors that are a challenge to make look good, and there are other issues to deal with. Is Photoshop CS3 my only good option here, is there less expensive, equally useful software...
