Re: This is Me
Hi Douglas,
thanks for the critique!!! You have a great eye!
I didn't repurpose it, but my initial intention was to have it inside the story... then I opened up the subject of my artwork having the little girl outside. I didn't want to have just one conceptual approach and interpretation (the overwhelming was welcomed)

Re: This is Me
I like it, but again the story-within-the-story (diving man) draws all the attention from the actual story (bird in gallery). Unless you're going for a Sergio Aragones marginalia type of thing, in which case you might want to try a "out of bounds" approach.
Perhaps try lowering the contrast on the diving man image or adding some glass glare or something to provide a visual clue that the biggest object is a picture of a picture.Learn by teaching

Re: This is Me
Hahahah.... this is great! Art is a great thing... there is no one way to skin a potato. You are the first one to get a different message from it and this is just an unexpected bonus.
No, is no Sergio Aragones, nor Breugel, it's way more simple!
... my artwork is called 'Mother'... soooo, basically pretty self explanatory, the lill' bird thinks that the diving dude is...his mother...because of the feeding mechanisms and stereotypical position...
The landscape there is in relation with the dude, because he is the mother bringing the bacon from... and bla bla bla...

by =)JCHey there,
Please give me a word about my last work. I spent about 10 evenings staring at this photo, so my sense of realism is a bit blunted, and I will be glad to hear some critique.
I'm considering it more like photo-composition, not like photo-art, since I like to preserve...-

I made this poster for the University Blaise Pascal of Clermont-Ferrand, France.
This poster is about the Russian Week.
The girl on the left is for the students, the guy on the horse for the history and the girl on the right for the youth.
Tell me what you think...-

by RexxFirst I'd like to ask if there are any Alice Cooper fans here. On his "Goes to Hell" he sings "How many said, I wonder what happened to Alice?"
Well in case you haven't noticedI've been away. Starting a new project at work coincided with my getting my new Minolta...
