restoration & removal of different colors

How do I get rid of smeared paint on pix also how to eliminate color tints like blue, red, green or whatever ? Encluded are two.

hi vincelotus and welcome to RP.

to get rid of the overall tint on this image i used color balance. turn down the reds, turn up the greens a bit and balance out with the blues.

after that, i cloned, starting with the background and then working on the girl, herself. i also did a bit of airbrushing. all this was done on a separate, blank layer.

however, to fix the dress, i made a selection of the white portions of the dress, airbrushed to even things up and then brightened the whole just a bit. i then inverted the selection and added a paint fill to darken the background. this was to give some contrast between the dress and the background.

and that was pretty much it, or at least the major bits.

Concentrated on the colours using mostly 'Selective Colors' and 'Hue&Saturation' Adjustment Layers.
