  • Remove glue swirl (scrapbook)

I'm becoming more familiar with FFT, however this one is a bit challenging. I can't seem to rid of the swirls efficiently.

Again, I have probably 10 scrapbooks and 50% of the photos have this issue.

In This one, I guess, there is not enough "pattern" to be picked up by the FFT filter.
I used curves and a split frequency to correct the pic.

Here you can download frequency separation actions & experiment with them. I use the "Skin retouch setup" one

I do not see the skin retouch setup action that you speak of?

The action should setup layers like these.

Well I found that the healing brush tool and patch tool seemed to work best for me.

I selected the background and filled that in with the scrapbook color.

                  Smudging when using Frequency Separation
                  by CKAJCA
I am still very new to retouching but have found Frequency Separation for use when retouching to be extremely useful. I still have a problem that I do not know how to overcome. I am still getting smudging when cloning with a hard edge brush on the High layer. An example would be when trying to remove...

                  by viraj2310
I have few pictures which I recently captured, unfortunately most of the pictures have come-out with with a blur effect. Most probably a leaf or another small object would have obstructed the main object. Sometime I wonder is this a light leak? So I tried to follow the tutorial which was named as "How...

                  HI
I scanned in these race cars from an ad. What is the best way to remove the dot do to the printing process?
I tried several things, like blurring the different channels, but I didn't get good results.
                  Thank you....
