  • Help restoring photo for Grandma's 80th Birthday!

    Hey guys,

I'm not the best at photoshop so I'm looking for some assistance in restoring this photo. I was able to make my grandma's face and dress more clear, but I'm having trouble bringing any of the background back to life, like the globe and the bookshelf. I'm also looking to color this photo after its done being restored, we'd like to use this as the centerpiece to her surprise party.

Any help would be so greatly appreciated!

    Thanks!

You'll have to correct the yellowish color cast before proceeding. You have a good start.

Very Nice, Palms. This looks like a studio shot to me and my guess would be that the background should be somewhat diffuse. If the photo is colorized I would imagine there should be some sort of a sepia color in the background

This is my wife's favorite picture of us at our wedding rehearsal dinner. Unfortunately, my sis-in-law took it with her 2MP camera. I know it can look better, but I don't know where to begin. I...

              headstone photo help
              by ProAc_Fan
I've been enlisted by a family friend to create a 4X6 print to be used on a headstone. I was given a rather underexposed ( backlit) 5X7 print from about 15 years ago. I scanned the print at 600 dpi and extracted the deceased lady from the shot. I think I can do a decent job correcting the exposure but...
