    Re: Noise Reducation

Noise is non image forming data. Best approach, don't produce it. A possible approach is when capturing the image data, at least from a camera that produces raw data:

    Noise Reducation

    Hi

I would like to better understand what "noise" is and how to approach troubleshooting it. For example, I am looking more for resources that explain / define the different levels of noise frequency (i.e. high, mid, low), than a particular plugin or app. that reduces it.

    Thanks,

I am looking for a way to reduce camera noise in a few of my images. I photographed a wedding and when I thought I had decent lighting I didn't. Now after adjusting levels and such I am having high camera noise. Is there a plug in or steps to do in Photoshop CS3 that I can do to correct this problem....

Can not post full pic, but hope this is big enough. Still working on those really dark pictures. This one was taken at night at a football game. I have done a levels adjustment and then I ran it through neat image twice. I still have a good bit of the pixles as noted in posted image.

Noise Reduction in the Work Flow

Where do people like to use a noise reduction plug-in during he work flow? On the duplicate background layer at the beginning? After global corrections to color, contrast and levels? The end of the process?

Getting rid of digital noise in LAB
    by imann08
In a recent trip to London, I took a ton of pictures. Almost all of them were taken with an ISO that was much too high. The result was enough digital noise to make one go deaf. Getting rid of digital noise has been one of the areas that I have had the most trouble with. I don't know if I am dealing...
