Applying FFT Filter - Problems with IFFT

Trying to remove print texture from an old photo (image 1). Applying FFT and brushing out white stars in red channel (image 2) Applying IFFT to RGB yields black border around objects in print. What am I doing wrong?

Difficult to tell as the images are too tiny, but it may be that you are working on a layer?

You must make sure that there is only one layer and that the image is flattened and should be labelled automatically by PS as "Background". If not right click on layer and select flatten.

Found problem. Yes, I was working on a background (flat) layer. For the Photoshop CC 64bit plugin to work, the file size needs to be below 130M.
