This is my first time in this web site, and the challange i think is a good idea to put our knowledge beyond other people.
I want ask only i can take away many cracks in the photo of the challange, they are many and how try a good result?

Benvenuto a RP, a mio parere, il miglior sito in internet, per quanto riguarda l'elaborazione delle immagini!

Sicuramente riceverai altre risposte al tuo quesito, ma, tanto per darti un'idea, quando si tratta di 'restaurare' una foto molto rovinata, si dovrebbe cercare di farla tornare come 'nuova' , cambiando, però, il meno possibile dell'originale. Vale a dire:

1) Togliere tutti i graffi, macchie ecc.

2) Ricostruire parti mancanti a volte prendendole 'in prestito' dalla stessa foto o, se non è possibile, da altre foto.

3) Quando molto rovinato, se non contiene dettagli importanti, si può sostituire lo sfondo.

i read your keys,
so i need for a photo with many cracks to use Paste and Copy a good part of the image on a bad one?

Hi Giuseppe!

If you are working with Photoshop, there are many ways in which you can remove or fade cracks in a picture ... The 'copy and paste' you mentioned, is one of them .... You could use the Clone Tool or, if you have Photoshop 7, the 'Healing Brush' ...

You might read this Tutorial and download this Action both of which I found very, very useful ....

I had a look at the Challenge you mentioned and ... boy!!!! .... that's a tough one!!! I 'll give it a try and let you know when I'm finished ...
