  • Help with repair of face on old sepia photo

    Hi!

New member, and first post. I've been trying to teach myself Affinity, and have had mild success restoring and repairing old photos. I'm stuck on this one of my great-grandfather. I don't know how to repair his face. I've attached a link to my dropbox folder which contains two pics: the original and one repaired except for his face. Please let me know what steps to take, and if you have trouble accessing the pics.

    Thanks.

The link actually just goes to dropbox.com, so there's no way to access your files.

Help with old passport photo with stamp
      by fernyway
This is the only photo of these 2 brothers and sisters together at that age. It's from their parents Laissez Passer document and unfortunately the stamp mark obliterates the face of the younger sister. I've had a few attempts to rebuild her face using her sister's face and making it a bit smaller, but...

I usually work with the clone tool and the healing tool when working on old photos but it is just not working with this old photo. I would like to at least get the face looking correct. I even tried using Portrait Professional but it didn't seem to like working on the black and white photo.
