    Wow.... Very good!!

Just one small thing ... in my opinion, the background is a bit too blurred ... but it's just my opinion ...

Thanks. I agree with you about the background, I went overboard. The hard part about retouching for me is not to be heavy handed. Im just learning that.

I think the blurred back ground is at the minimum blur. I wouldn't mind seeing it blurred just a tat more. Add some Filter/Render/Lighting to create the illusion of a studio-hair-light and you have a nice "Butterfly-lighting" studio portrait.

I like the photo just the way it is. I especially like the "butterfly" technique that places a butterfly-like nose shadow upon the upper lip.

        You did good

          I like the blurred background...

I like the blurred background. I might even try to blow it out more to the point of just color splashes. When I shoot people I usually go to a lot of trouble to de-focus background distractions.

          That's just me though.

Hello I'm new here. My Name is Christian and I'm from Germany. I do Retouching for one year now and wan`t to get some criticism from You. The most Germans are unfortunately a little unconstructive.

            problems smoothen awful background creases!
            by jette
            hi there,
i am stuck trying to get rid off the awful creases on the background! usually i make a mask of the bg area and then put a gaussian blur over it. but the gaussian blur which seams to be the only way to get rid of all the creases creates some awful and strange lines. usually to add noise...

This was the first picture I picked from my grandfather's negatives last November. I've probably redone it 18 times. Everytime I learned something new in PS I'd go back and rework it.

Well, its not perfect, never will be. But, I've mailed it out for Mother's Day so I am committed....

            by Ken Rogers
This photo was recently discovered by my mother, tucked inside an antique silver photo frame behind another photo. It was shot in 1915 and the infant is my grandmother. I am in the process of restoring it to fill a 4x6 print.

In my opinion the original was in great shape, aside from...
