Submitting tips

Let's get together and make this the best retouching/restoration/manipulation tips list on the net. Get out your tips list, and/or drink a lot of coffee, start a thread with a clear title, and start typing. When done with your first tip, click "Submit" and then "New Thread" and repeat. And repeat. And repeat.

Please make the tips in your own words, but if you can't at least make sure you attribute.

Would you like us to post similar tips under already existing threads? Or would you prefer we start new ones even though there may be 20 threads on "sharpening" (for example).
