I have my portfolio site, it is very poor, I,m fashion digital photo retoucher and I have no time to make a good site. I only want to have something in the net like a personal card.

Was checking out some of the portfolios and was a bit shocked to find a picture of my daughter in one. Should people ask before using other peoples personal photos for their portfolios, even if they did the retouch?
I believe the right way to go about it would be to ask the person permission to use the photo. I think the photo belongs to the person who took the photo.

the photo does belong to the photographer, but i'm pretty sure using the photo in someones portfolio falls under the "fair use" clause under current copywrite laws...

model release and photographers permission are needed...fair use does not cover posting a picture of a model WITHOUT the model release.
How do you handle your web portfolio nowadays? Is it still best to have your own website, or does no one bat an eye if your portfolio is on an image hosting site? Is your promotional website and your portfolio the same thing, or do you keep them separate?

I'm looking for a web hosting site to post a portfolio.
I tried JustHost and it feels like I have to learn all kinds
of software to build a decent site. I need something easy,
so I don't have to spend hours on creating rollovers in Fireworks
and then exporting them and then...
