  • Shadows..

    Hello,
I have this nice picture taken...and all would be just perfect if not those bad shadows on the face.
Anyone wanna help me out to remove those?

Was trying to play with curves and lavels.. But it looks like im not skilled too well. If anyone would say how to adjust those i would be very thankful

    Cheers,

Hello taysa, welcome to RetouchPro, nice you found your way here. In order to give you some direction, it would be nice to know what kind of photo-editing software you have available.

try adding a curves layer and change the blending mode to screen. fill the mask in black so you cant see the change. take a soft edge white brush and paint over the shadows to lighten them. adjust opacity to taste. you can also try highlight and shadow.

I tried a few curves. Choose your samples well, it helps.

Hi!! What do you think about this retouch?
I have left a little bit of shadow to give to the face a little bit of shape...
I used just one new level:

shift+cmd(ctrl)+n for a new layer -> fill the layer with 50% grey -> soft light (blend mode)

then i have painted with white brush at 20%-10% opacity

If you want you can use higher brush opacity...

          good luck!!

            OK I looked...
Now I am curious as to how looking at your site, without any instruction on how you achieved the shadow removal, would help the OP?

For some reason reducing opacity with this photo does not seem to work very well.

                  I am using photoshop C2.

                  @chilin.. That works prety nice

@alien182 i kinda prefare to get rid of shadow as much as possible..but also nice work!

@DC_Headshots was also trying you method, but i think i do something wrong cause doing the last step (painting) nothing really happens. Check if i was right with mask.
