  • How Can I Keep Underlying Texture in a Superimposi

I've seen composits of a gull with a deer's head, etc. How do they insert the deer's head and keep the gull's featherly texture rather than the texture of the deer's head
    Thanks

I can superimpose as in the image below. But How do I get the eagle's feathers from the under layer to show on the duck's head?

Masking, adjusting opacity... or... blend modes and different opacities.... or... Displacement map/filter combined with blend modes and different opacities... or put the eagle back on top and mask out what you do not want showing along with possibly using a different blend mode and opacity adjustments
