  • Faking Backlit Sunset light on Model

I was wondering if anyone has seen a thread on this. I have been playing around with lens flare in PS then making that layer warmer to make the non back lit image warmer and softer...Any ideas would be appreciated

It sounds interesting. Could you explain what you're trying to do in a bit more detail?

Is it possible you can show a photo that has a real backlit sunset so we have pointer to achieve a fake one?

In post try sampling a nice warm/orange tone, not too dark, create a new layer and fill it with this color, then change blending mode to "Overlay". Now mask it for appropriate areas that would naturally spill over the edges of your subject. I usually create 2-3 Overlay layers, mask these and adjust opacity to suit, here's a subtle use of the effect -
