Hi all
I'm giving you a head start here at RetouchPro, as a consolation for not being able to do a webinar due to broadband difficulties: Right now there's a chance to get your hands on my retouching DVD for £98 GBP, before we reprint the cover. The usual Eureka! price is £130. Some of the less important information on the DVD is out-of date (such as the text that mentions a forthcoming CS5 ebook, when it's been out for a several months …). Apart from this, the covers and DVDs are fine. When we reprint there will also be a bundle solution, but you can actually get 10% off if you order the e-book and DVD at the same time.
On my site www.grygarness.com you can use the promo-code retouchpro in the shopping cart to get the discount. Update the cart to see the discount applied. This will work for a limited time only. When we run out of this stock, the discount will be removed and I'll update this thread.
The response to both the DVD and ebook has been all-round very positive (sometimes even ecstatic!) and a lot of people like the fact that they have two different mediums that convey the information in two different ways. I think where my DVD differs from the rest of the bunch is that particular aspect, and also that it covers a variety of solutions, both technically and visually. I could have done a paint-by-numbers job on one or two images, but that's just too limiting, because every single retouching job is so different. You can't paint them all with the same brush – quite literally!
I hope to be back to do a webinar here soon. The problem has been that the best broadband we can get in my inner-city area of London also happens to have a quirk which cuts the sound. But fiber optic cable is apparently coming to us very soon, so I'll be back!
