  • Anyone like to edit this?

Hi, this is my first post I took this photo of my daughter a while ago, but I just cannot seem to get it to look right. And for some reason I really like it .. lol .. This is the download link from flickr, hope I'm doing it right lol ..

I do like your photo, Sarah. Its so natural. Perhaps straightening out the photo to make the fence bars vertical. Slightly desaturating her left hand to remove some of the redness there and a slight touch up under her nose.

And yes you did it right.

Sarah P, luv the picture... and Welcome to RetouchPRO
Hope you enjoy your stay here and make lots of friends.
      Poke around, have fun!

If you use Photoshop you can post fairly large pictures which are under 100k using the 'save for web' function in Photoshop as described here:
Size, Quality and/or Format your Attached Images.. (Click here)

How to attach Files/Images to your Posts or Threads:

If you want to post a larger resolution that is over 100K then you can host your image elsewhere and attach a link in the thread, As you DID, but also please attach an under 100K version (so the thread remains useful in the future, regardless of external links).

This is one of those pictures where no matter where you are standing looking @ the picture.... she is looking @ you and will follow you if you move from side to side

      I loosely followed Phil's instructions

Wow these are looking great! I should've read the rules before I posted and I probably would have known to attach the thumbnail, sorry. ... I'll attach the original now (compressed), so you can see what I have done to the photo, I got lazy around the nose lol .. But I did remove the yellow bandaid and the blue cake around her mouth .. And I slightly moved the corners of her mouth up, she just looked so sad, which at the time, she was actually very happy, she just stopped to stare at someone and she just looked so cute standing there

I love the shot of your of your beautiful daughter, have done a rough & quick edit.

I have embraced the kiddy grunge and love the cake on her mouth and the bandaid on her face.

                    Where to begin?
                    by kevkevg
I'm new to restoring photos. My biggest problem is removing these big scratches. I've found that if I try to use the clone tool to get rid of them the coloring on each side of the scratches don't match up. What would be the best way to remove them and get the coloring to match up?
