  • How to get this efect on the skin?

Maybe anybody knows what is done with her face? Some sharpening filter or something else?

    Hi,

Why don't you ask the person who has posted this image on MM?

I don't know what post was done but from looking at the original on MM it looks as though this girl (I think she might be a 7 year old with makeup) has pretty flawless skin to begin with.

How to get that that kind of perfect skin has been discussed to death already here and on MM. Lookup for the frequency separation technique threads particularly.

photophile >>> I have a problem with MM. 4 photos are required for submitting a profile. Well, I am a beginner and have just 1. So I can't write posts, private messages and so on. But I'm lucky. I've found her mail address in MM a minute ago. So I'll can ask her.

To me it looks like an inverted highpass!

            simple way to experiment
make dup, apply high pass with a radius dividable by 3, blur image with a radius of one 3rd (ie highpass = 21, blur 7) invert, blend linear light, apply black mask and paint in.

A more accurate way is to used the apply image method discussed in the frequency separation threads....

I can almost guarantee you that this is imagenonic Portraiture Plugin. Tested it a couple of days ago, and whatever I did it kind of gave me this small radius sharpening. Maybe you can do it with a small radius frequency seperation and a band stop ( duplicate your low layer and blur it even more). You will nedd to patch away the worst stuff first and maybe som D&B to.

You will get a much nicer result if you do the actual D&B retouching, and use a bandstop selectively to even out some colors if needed

As amica has suggested it looks like a bandstop to me too. I would guess that in this case it has been achieved through the plugin Portraiture, although pretty much the same result can be obtained through a manual bandstop at varying amounts/frequencies.

Re: How to get this efect on the skin?

Actually if you do a frequency seperation with a 2 or 3 radius (if you google or search the forum you will find lots of actions for it, just make sure its one of the "newer" ones with apply image rather than high pass filter).
Duplicate your HIGH layer for som extra sharpening
                    Duplicate your LOW layer
With your new duplicated low layer selected go to blur-> surface blur (yes that is surface blur)
                    Now play with the sliders.
If you do choose to use gaussian blur you may need to use the blend if sliders to take away the offset.

This is basicly one way of doing a manual bandstop. There are many actions out there for it too. But I think the surface blur is the key to this actual "effect" you presented

As mentioned in the last post you will need to do some retouching before you have a go at the seperation

Thank you all. You really helped a lot. I've installed Portaiture 2 plugin a minute ago. I think I'll try out this plugin and manual bandstop too and post results here.

Re: How to get this efect on the skin?

Well, the answer is really Split Frequency. Portraiture is good too.
I tried it with this photo: http://imageshack.us/a/img171/2083/5g5a83442.jpg
All the time I was wondering why I can't get results which I'm expecting. After day spent searching what is wrong I understood - image's resolution is just to low for this. Then I tried with other image and it was exactly what I wanted. Thanks again for helping
