    I downloaded a photoshop action and at some point the action adds a curves adjustment layer, with a name different from the default, with clipping mask active and with the points in the curves changed.

    I know that by pressing the Alt key i get extra options but i cant change the points...

    I've been thinking about a new (I think) technique, but it requires multiple curve adjustment layers. Thinking used to be that multiple curve adjustments was a destructive workflow. But lately I've seen it more and more in high-end workflows.

    Did this used to be bad with curves adjustments...

    Is there a photoshop keyboard shortcut to switch the currently selected layer in the layer stack? I.e. one shortcut for "one layer up", one shortcut for "one layer down".

    The use would be this: quickly switching between the dodge and burn curve...

    The PhotoShop Curves command is an extremely handy tool.

    Get to know it. You can do so much with it.

    When you open an image, it might not be perfect. The Curves command is an excellent way to correct color and exposure, improve tone and revive details.
