  • Any ideas on creating this effect/look

I have seen this type of effect quite a few times by the top end retouchers and i was wondering if any one has any pointers on how to achieve a similar effect - i am talking about the way the photo looks almost like a cartoon but still has a bit of grittyness / sharpness to it.

Just as an FYI i am not talking about the photo manipulation (which is amazing) itself just the post process to achieve the look.

thanks in advance for any views

I haven't watched this show, but it might be worth a look:

I would try liquify tool or lens correction.

That would be my guess. The Asian girl especially shows signs of Liquify pinching.

Looks like someone has either pulled out an old copy of Kai's Power Goo or is playing with Liquify as stated.

Oh yes, Kai! He was so ahead of his time and flamed out.
