    How this effect is achieved, I see some color effect but I'm not sure what it is.

    Looks like Annie's work. Here is a perfect example of why you need to read color numbers in your info palette. The first thing I noticed was a muddy yellow cast to the highlights of the image. The second thing I noticed was that the blacks were more blue than black. Don't think it's a JPG issue, but deliberate.

    I doubt that HDR was used to create this image. Just some funky curves processing where the made the blacks more blue and the highlights more yellow.

    A good way to see what it probably looked like before hand would be to find a neutral black, white or gray and check the color numbers to see how close to neutral they are. I quickly set a neutral point the barn door trim(white) and the highlight cast disappeared.

        Just curves, and some selective color adjustments...nothing fancy but still looks nice
