      Brown skin, blue paraphernalia.

I would go hell for leather in RAW stage before getting to PS. I mainly use Adobe RAW so settings would be - HSL/Greyscale; Hue, Red +43. Saturation, Red +28; Orange +12; Yellow +33. Luminance, Red +47; Orange +1; Yellows -92.

It's not a formula for every image and it depends upon the subject and their skin tone from the start. I haven't done anything to the file apart from the above, so forgive slightly orange and the shadows, it was just to give you an idea of a direction you could take

Again there is the old adage that you can get to your house a thousand different ways and here's it's true as well. The most important thing you always have to remember in doing any kind of retouch or enhancement is " will this photo work for the result I want" not all images are built for the same effects. That's why I don't like actions so much because you can't just throw some color onto an image and call it finished.

I would suggest playing around with the skin tones that you already have and go from there, Using things such as Selective color adjustment, color balance and curves it can get you close. There really is no magic numbers to make it work for every image but with some patience you can get to something that you'll love.
