I know this photo looks pretty simple. But I would like to achieve the color and skin effect they use. Did they just using lighting and a high pass plus selective coloring or ??

Looks to me like a combination of curves adjustments for the colour and either the clarity tool from lightroom or high pass filter for the punchy contrasty look.Comment

Okay i've got two select images that i think really show off the moody look really well.
