  • How to make mixer brush setting for skin retouch?

Hi, i have a question when i see some retouchers create mixer brush and paint in Low Frequence layer. I always Healing/ Clone on LF layer but i see they work faster with mixer brush. When i try, i see i lost all texture after paint with mixer brush, may be i need some setting with Brush presents. I don't know, i never use mixer brush before. So I hope you can give me some advice.
    Thks

Rather than ask about a specific tool, why not mention what you are trying to achieve here? No one is going to give a good response to this, because the question is terrible. If you can be a bit more specific about your goals in terms even in terms of "I'm looking for a tool that acts like.....", I may be able to help.

OP, your question is clear and fine, I don't know how to use this brush too.

Maybe I was a little harsh, but you're asking for tool settings without describing what you want them to do. Some insight into the desired behavior would make it easy to answer your question. Also any tool can ruin texture.

              Artifacts/pixelation with Healing Brush?
              by CKAJCA
I am getting artifacting or pixelation (that is the best I can decribe it) when using the healing brush on skin. What am I doing wrong? Forgot to say I am using CS5!

Healing brush with soft or hard brush?
              by santoro80
I'm just reading a book "Adobe Photoshop CS5 for Photographers" and the authors says that healing brush is "best used at full opacity and with a hard brush (just about the opposite of the clone stamp tool)".
I didn't know that. I always used healing brush with soft brush....

              How to reset brush
              by Gerald McClaren
I don't remember exactly what I had done but the diameter of my brush eg. healing brush is jagged around the whole circumference. Instead of painting with the whole brush, it seems like I'm painting with only the center of it. It should be smooth all the way around. Can someone please tell me how...

Q: What is a soft brush?
              by e.b.west
              OK, here it is:

I'm starting to progress(?) from just using filters to also using brushes. Many of the tutorials I read say "use a soft brush". What exactly is a "soft brush"? I'm using Elements 2 and I beleive most of the brushes are the same as PS.

              I broke my brush :(
              by NancyJ
I dont know what I did but now no matter what size of picture or brush I'm working with, I always get the crosshair rather than the round brush. What did I do and how can I fix it?
