Just a quick and dirty effort, a simple background change and very minor clean-up, no d&b to speak of.

Awesome job mike with the composite. How do you go about working out the proportions of the subject to match the background? Is it just a visual estimate or are you following certain rules? Is the background image your own or a stock image. I would like to try doing the same.

Thanks for taking the time to do this.

I would like to say I had some method, but as you mention, it was just a visual estimate and that background is from a stock site, I was not sure about the lighting, so I just picked a background with some of the characteristics of the lighting scheme.

Hi. I really liked your photo so I decided to make a quick try. Basically I tried to enhance the beautiful lighting you already have, some muscles definition (more) and a little bit of color correction.

Gave it sort of a WWE treatment. Maybe if he had a more psychotic expression on his face it would work better.

well thing is. me and my photographer buddies had just had an arguement.

to them high key is "limited" to shots in a studio using 3 or more lights that has an overexposed background.

i told them high key is a low contrast with soft shadows photo but it isnt limited...

What the heck does high end retouching mean?
I keep seeing it being offered but when I look at the images they don't look very high end.

Hey guys, my first time posting on this forum.
I've messed around with this image for quite some time and I have no where else to turn to.

So originally this image was in a portrait layout and I want to switch it to landscape. So I've copied and pasted to extend the background....

Just curious if there are any real high end pros here who would be happy to confirm how long on average they spend on say a magazine cover or high end editorial shot? I'm talking the proper long laborious pore level, flawless skin jobs here. I've taken the time out this past year or so to learn the...
