Awesome job mike with the composite. How do you go about working out the proportions of the subject to match the background? Is it just a visual estimate or are you following certain rules? Is the background image your own or a stock image. I would like to try doing the same.

I would like to say I had some method, but as you mention, it was just a visual estimate and that background is from a stock site, I was not sure about the lighting, so I just picked a background with some of the characteristics of the lighting scheme.Comment

cut him out and worked at bit on his skin. Emphasized his eyes and placed him on a background…

well thing is. me and my photographer buddies had just had an arguement.
to them high key is "limited" to shots in a studio using 3 or more lights that has an overexposed background.
i told them high key is a low contrast with soft shadows photo but it isnt limited...06-01-2011, 10:57 AM -

Hey guys, my first time posting on this forum.
I've messed around with this image for quite some time and I have no where else to turn to.
