Like what? I know of it, but I find it so much easier to simply clone to a new layer, transform and mask. And I've done some pretty complex reconstructions.

I think its great and use it all the time.
@ Scoobey - not so much for people retouching, (sometimes clothes)
for rotating and sometimes scaling, sometimes flipping what your placing down.

        Re: Clone Source Panel!?!?!?!?!

I've found that sometimes it's quicker and easier and sometimes it's easier to just copy and section...usually if I need to warp it I'll just do that. But I've found a lot of use out of it!

Give me some examples, I'm really intrigued, like when do you find it useful?

It's always great to learn new things.

I'll answer better when I have time. But one thing that should be noted is that the clone source panel also works for the healing brush.

HELP! Problems trying to reduce highlights.
              by inskip

I'm trying to remove the highlight from my daughters chest area. I have my Katrin Eisman R & R book (2nd edition) out and on pg.84 it gives you the steps for removing/reducing these kinds of highlights. It says to add a new layer>mode to darken>clone stamp>use...

              Clone Stamp Tool
              by ralphjramirez
Using CS3 and trying to use the clone stamp tool and have a question. Once I have set my source point #1 by alt/click then activate the overly, I then reposition my source as my overly shows. I then click and start painting. All works well except if I release the mouse I no longer can continue from...

              clone stamp crosshairs disappeared
              by ronfya
              Hi there,

I have a little but annoying problem.

The sampling crosshairs from the clone stamp tool & the healing brush just disappeared. That means I cannot see where I am sampling from when using these tools.

Does somebody know how do I get it back ?...

              The Dredded Clone Tool
              by jjjay00
Ok, now I've heard the dredded cloning tool (PS CS2) mentioned quite a bit. The reason why I say dredded is because I can't get the hang of it...Apparently you can clone on nice skin - soft, clean, but still with pores showing in other words natural. I'm kind of getting over the flat blurred skin tone...
