What is the best resample method for downsizing picture for web if I want to sharpen the image by my self? Bicubic smoother or Bicubic smooth gradients? Is there a difference between these two options?

Bicubic Smoother is for upsizing. Bicubic(smooth gradients) is probably better for down sizing without sharpening included. -

Bicubic (smooth gradients) is the default, and should work fine. However, much will depend on how much reduction you plan on doing, and how that reduction is accomplished (what method is used).

I've been trained to use Bicubic Sharper when reducing an image in size. What I don't like is that is seems to over-sharpen my images, especially when I am going to a web resolution of around 500x333. I have been sticking with Bicubic (the default setting), and doing the standard, last step sharpening...05-26-2010, 12:04 AM -

Does anyone have any experience using Photoshop cc 2017 and the the filter Shake Reduction? I need to start using it for a restoration job I am just about completing.

There are several ways in Photoshop to sharpen an image. The most commonly used are Unsharp-Mask (USM) and High-Pass filter.
