  • Similar skin

    Hi,

I was wondering if someone could point in to a tutorial or could tell me how to get the skin looking clay-like without going overboard or even one where they look wax/porcelain-like but I can take what they did and tone it down. Ultimately, below is what I am going for with portraits but I would also like to go overboard at times for a different effect which i'm sure you've seen plenty of times. I've been told frequency separation many times, which I've practiced, but can you tell what may have been used in addition to get the attached to image.

No real secret, just standard tools. Clay = dark and desaturated, so that's what you do to your image.
