  • Opening or Bringing out eyes

Can someone help me, please? I recently took digital pix at a wedding. The mother of the groom is my best friend. I have been editing my pictures (after reading all these tips, I think I have to go back and redo them.). In the picture of the groom, mother and father walking him down the aisle, his eyes are squinted. Naturally, that was one of the first things she noticed!
I remember reading a tip someplace about making the eyes appear more open. Can one or some of you help me?
    Thanks a lot.
BTW: Photoshop 7.x on a Mac (they rule), intermediate user.

Welcome to the site (even though you are a Mac user ). I've had better luck by taking the eyes out of another picture of the same person. But there are others who I'm sure can offer more of a step-by-step instruction for opening eyes. You might request that someone write up a tutorial on this.

By the way, you might have had better luck getting responses if you had posted the thread in the "Help Requested" forum. I expect it will probably be moved to that area.

Use the liquify tool, bulge tool in liquify (sixth one down of the tools on the left in the liquify window), set the size to a little bigger than the eyeball, center over the eyeball and give it a couple of clicks. You will have to experiment with size/placement/clicks to get a feel for it, make sure to do it carefully so that you can keep the eyes matching.
