    I would like to hear your input on this "should a retoucher have a style?". I mean is the retoucher one that mimics the work of the photographer and does what he dosnt have the time or skills to, or does he add his own style to the pictures?

    I did this with a selective color adjustment layer in Photoshop. Depending on the image, other tools might be need, especially curves.

          Here are three options. One with just a contrast adjustment. One with contrast and Sabrina81's sky mask, and one with a lighter sky and Sabrina81's mask.

                I wonder if Selective color can get an effect like this, shadows get a reddish tint.

                I normaly use a set of curves to widen the tonal range.
