  • Calling all experienced Retouchers

I've got some questions for all y'all big cheese professional retouchers out there. First off I'd like to say congratulations for making it in the profession, and thank you for being an inspiration to us beginners!

How did you go about reaching out to photographers in the beginning?

Now that you're set up, how do you continue to draw clients to you?

What do you wish you knew way back then?

How did you land your best clients?

Tell us about your "Aha!" moment...or series of moments.

What do you love most about your job?

What do you love least about it?

What are your biggest fears about the industry?

How have you set yourself apart from your competitors?

Where do you see yourself in the future?

If you want comments from big cheese professional retouchers (like Amy Dresser, Natalia Taffarel, Gry Garness, etc., etc.), you probably should try Model Mayhem. I don't think you'll find many real pros hanging out here.

Real fact. If you live in a first world country, you're done; everything is just easy and your futuree depends only on you. If not, then you will become a pro working for mid-end stuff. Regarding reaching photographers, they reach you, you don't reach them.

Okay... time to enjoy the rest of the day and the week. Just ended doing the mid-end stuff.

We came here from time to time, to recover the password, mostly.
