I doubt is is called tape, but it needs to be removed. I am pretty good at Photoshop but I can not get rid of this and make the skin look realistic to save my soul. Can someone tell me how I would proceed at this? Would like two know how you accomplished this if you are successful.

Hi htown.
Here is a trial but not sure it's convincing at max 100k saved at 19% ...
I only use copy paste of section from the left arm, edit them, and after 5 layer it was not so bad.
Lot of erasing at different opacity and coulpes of hours having fun.

Jean, thank you for your efforts. But I had a deadline and I was already able to get this done but what you did was a great start. i think i could have worked with that to make it look right with some shadows.

I was given a drawing (painting) that a friend of mine wanted me to shoot and touchup. Several years ago, the drawing got a whole punched through it so he taped it back with clear tape. here is a section of it and you can see where the tape is. This is my first post. So, if I make an error I hope it will be excused. I am attempting to retouch an old photo for a friend.
