  • Photographed TODAY (or Processed today) con't

    this is a continuation of this thread;

What did you photograph today? What did you develop/process in your digital editing software today?

Post it here with a bit of a description so we can all share in your fun.
    http://www.retouchpro.com/forums/pho...sed-today.html

I started a new thread ~ the last one was getting really long.

First I took a snap with my P&S on the 'food' preset to see what aperture it chose. Then I set up the SLR with that setting and played a bit. I now have a new found admiration for still life painters. DS helped me with the dodge and burning. This probably would have looked better BEFORE I ate half the grapes.

      From Saturday, 10/03/09:
Our town had it's annual Hoedown on Saturday, just another name for Fall Street Fair. My hubby met up w/ a friend of his who was walking his 5 dogs. Now, try as I might it was extremely difficult to get all the dogs into one shot, and if I could, I couldn't see them in the LCD screen, it was just so bright out. So, the first is the shot unaltered except for size and the second one is entitled, "Heads You Win". You figure out why!

Nasturtium, I've heard of art that looked good enough to eat, and yours is one of them. Most beautiful arrangement.BTW, excellent move to creat another thread.
Friiskiwi, the rowers look great. What camera do you use? Really nice shot.

friskiwi - great capture ~ you really caught how hard they are rowing. Well done! Those flowers are stunning.
Veralisa - those dogs are so cute. What a unique angle
Gary - your post processing on the old stone lady really enhanced the mood of the image. Please let us see the before/during & after shots of the reception area.

daitri, really love your beach hut image - love the composition as well as the processing.

Nasturtium, so happy that you found cows!! But the fruit is a wonderful study also.

Gary - love the stone lady image!

Veronica - love the dogs - happy faces and tails to match!

friiskiwi - love the colors and composition!

I took my dog out to the scrub desert area near our development and saw a couple of jackrabbits (hares) and five or six turkey vultures - they hadn't found anything to eat yet, but were circling pretty low in hopes of a tasty meal.

Nasturtium, I really love the rich colors and shadows in your cow shot. Is that the way it came from the camera or was there post processing?

View from my office window at home.
I took this at about 7am this morning. It's HDR (Photomatix) and a bit of photoshop. It's supposed to be spring, racing towards summer, but there was more snow on the mountains than we saw in the depth of winter.
CJ Swartch - I love the last of your vulture shots.

Nasturtium, i like the rich colours in the cows image, is that some kind of gothic glow?
CJ Swartz, i have not seen a Turkey vulture before, just the european type, are they quite large?
This is one of a statue in Ayamonte Square, Ayamonte is the last Spanish town before the border with Portugal. Tiny bit of pp and lucis to dramatise and bring out some of the shadow.

Gary, the turkey vulture is large, with a naked red head, and a wingspan between 5-6 feet. From what I read, your European vultures have a wider wingspan.

Your statue image succeeds at being dramatic in diagonal composition. Your statues are also larger than U.S. statues, I believe.
