  • Technique: Need good tips

    Hi Retouchers,

I would like to know you have a good tip for removing hair from skin and face not going one by one with clone stamp and healing and get a nice end- retouching on the skin. Any technique that you can share? Please look at the image i am trying to fix.

    Thanks

    Mois

Clone in lighten mode. There are no tricks if you want to preserve texture.

Select the area you want to remove the hair, then do a Replace Color of the hair with the skin color. This way, the hair matches the skin, and should blend right in with the skin.

The healing brush tool works quite well. It preserves the texture

Phlearn has today posted an excellent tutorial on just this, entails using the pen tool.https://youtu.be/gLczExrLGSE

lol. Pen tool is secondary/optional, what is really happening is cloning and healing.

I do not know why my post trying to assist the OP, should cause such amusement to you, but I think it was certainly more helpful than your original post.

I have a real problem when people are trying to sell "magic potions".

EDIT: And especially when the change is so easy to make by using good old clone and heal. Sure, he used the pen tool. Pen tool is not necessary for the portion of the image OP has shown, there by it's unrelated.

It is unnecessary introduction of a tool that is unrelated to the topic at hand.

I have neither the time nor inclination to stay on this roundabout, but I will say in closing, that you need to understand that not every poster or reader to this forum has the apparent superior retouching skills that you possess, therefore replying to someone's genuine question with flippant answers is not the right thing to do... why not just tell them to use Photoshop !

Just use cloning and healing and ignore all the non-sense. It's a few hairs over relatively clean skin. You most definitely don't need to use all those fancy techniques.

                                Hello everyone,

I have this image that I have photographed and retouched (skin only) but do not know how to get rid of the strands of hair that are not in the same direction as the rest of the hair (Look at upper left side (of image) of the model's hair or right next to her right ear)....

                                Pro methods of Retouching hair?
                                by mayday
Does anyone have any advise on pro methods of removing crosshairs and stray hairs? To clone is'nt good and the healing tools not much better. I
've tried dodge and burn on a softlight gray layer, but that does'nt always work well.

I'd appreciate any tips or advice anyones willing...

                                by gregvernon
I am fairly new to photo-based art, and would like to know what or how exactly are skin and hair color charts used for? Please excuse my ignorance!!
