Author, trainer, and fine-art printer Uwe Steinmueller specializes in subtle, natural HDR images of scenes that wouldn't be possible using any other technique. For the uninitiated, HDR means "High Dynamic Range", and HDR technique involves combining several bracketed exposures to capture an image that wouldn't be possible with a single exposure due to the huge difference between the highlights and shadows.

Does it matter what software we use for our HDR, in order to get something out of Uwe's workshop?

Uwe uses Photomatix, but the concepts are the same regardless.
