RetouchPRO LIVE 2.0 Beta - 11/12/14

I'm rebooting RetouchPRO LIVE with some daring new changes:

• Free
• One hour show
• All about answering audience questions in real time
• Audience will be able to optionally upload their problem files during the show for Steve to help with on-screen

Join me and ultimate Photoshop wizard Steve Caplin next Wednesday as we christen the new format. Steve wants to show some of Photoshop CC 2014's new blur features, but the majority of the showtime is reserved for answering your questions about Photoshop techniques and problems.

We're aiming this first show at beginning to intermediate Photoshop users, just to ease into things. If things go well we'll get more advanced in future shows.

But wasn't diminishing audience participation one of the reasons production slowed down?

It was almost the sole reason. But it's also the only reason I wanted to do it in the first place. Hopefully the new format will help.

Just completed final testing of the file transfer that will be available during the show. It is quite dramatic!

We'll provide a webpage with a rectangle where you can drag and drop your file (please include your name as part of the filename so we can ID it quickly in the show, like johnsmith.jpg). Then your file magically appears in a folder on Steve's desktop while the show is going on! (sorry about all the exclamation marks, but this is exciting stuff!)

So get your problem files sorted out and renamed so Steve can share his advice. And maybe a few fun ones, as well. If we run short Steve will make a photomontage using audience-submitted files.

Oh yeah, 20mb max size per file, please.

Perhaps I should have mentioned earlier, I don't know if anyone cares, but the live show will now also be viewable on iDevices and Androids (dl the Citrix app). And Linux (more on that in a future show). Maybe even some TVs. And something called a Chromebook.

The plan is currently to upload these free shows to youtube. That's the plan, anyway. We'll see how it goes

A time-saver tip if you plan on uploading an image: preconvert to JPG and rename to include the name from your show registration
