RetouchPRO LIVE with Steve Caplin
Extreme Photomontage
Extreme Photomontage
This was Steve Caplin's initial idea for his very first show several years ago, but at the time we didn't have the technology to make it happen. Now we do, and it's going to be fascinating to see how this goes.
You (yes, YOU) will upload various interesting images. Cool backgrounds, interesting textures, fun objects, weird stock art, literally anything you think might make for an interesting piece of a larger composite image.
Then, at the start of Tuesday's show, Steve will look at what you've uploaded for the very first time and use your images to come up with a photomontage on the spot. He'll explain all the techniques he uses as he goes, and we'll pause every now and again for suggestions from the audience on what to add next.
This will be interesting, informative, and a little scary, all at the same time. You'll see how a professional photoillustrator thinks and works in a real-life time crunch situation. And you'll help guide what the final image looks like.
To upload your images, go to http://www.retouchpro.com/upload and use access code "extreme" (no quotes). Please respect copyright and only upload public domain, explicitly approved, or your own images. Do not wait until showtime.
After Steve finishes his photomontage he'll answer any general Photoshop questions from the audience. You can upload your problem images using the same link if it helps illustrate your problem.
