On Tuesday's RetouchPRO LIVE, Mark Fitzgerald returns to continue his exploration of Adobe Lightroom as a Digital Asset Manager (DAM).

Last time Mark focused on managing metadata, such as labels, keywords, etc.

This week, his focus will be on managing actual files and folders from within Lightroom so they'll be exactly the way you want them and keep Lightroom running smoothly.

A follow-up to today's show. Someone (maybe Doug) asked if you delete a photo from a non-local external hard drive, will that deletion synchronize when you reattach the hard drive? I just did a test and found what I expected. The photo is removed from the catalog but is not deleted from the hard drive. If the hard drive is remounted and the folder is synchronized, the file will reappear in the catalog. Therefore it's best to label or flag the file on the missing drive for deletion and then delete it after the drive is remounted.
