    RetouchPRO LIVE with Mark Fitzgerald
    Lightroom Mobile

For our next episode of RetouchPRO LIVE, award-winning photographer Mark Fitzgerald returns to continue his in-depth examination of Adobe Lightroom.

Lightroom Mobile is a free app for iPhone, iPad, and Android. It allows you to connect and sync to your desktop version of Lightroom. But Mark Fitzgerald insists it is much more than that. In fact, he's using instead of desktop Lightroom in some cases.

Join us this Tuesday as Mark shows us his actual iPad screen to give us a tour of Lightroom Mobile's capabilities. He'll show what it can and can't do, and how he's using it as part of his professional and artistic workflow.
And of course he'll answer all your questions during his presentation. He'll also stick around afterwards to answer any general Lightroom questions you may have.

The thing I wanted to mention toward the end of yesterday's show is that you can sync only one catalog with your mobile device. For example, I have two computers, each with different Lightroom catalogs on them. I can't sync collections from both catalogs. Instead I have to choose which catalog to sync with Lightroom Mobile and then select collections from that catalog. This isn't really a big deal for most users who tend to use a single catalog.

Thanks Mark for all the great informations. I've just synced a few Collections & it worked great, it took a few minutes. Those collections were photos taken with my 5d MkII and were on my Working Catalog in Regular Lr. At the same time, my Lr Mobile is still SLOWLY syncing my I-Phone photos. It is taking hours... Lr Mobile is indicating "186 Pending". As I am writing this, I just found my answer to my problem. I'll share it with you. I turned off the "Auto Import I-Phone Pictures" function. Since, I didn't want all of my I-Phones pictures to appear in my Lr Mobile, I'll be better off that way.

Hope this can be helpful to some of you!

Interesting. I'll check out Photoshop Mix. Looks like it was designed for LR Mobile. Thanks for the heads up!

Looks like Mix was developed for iPad 4, which is a little newer than mine. I'll give it a try anyway to see how it works or if it does on my iPad.
