  • RetouchPRO is not sepiatoned

In designing the "look" for the new forums, it occured to me that the grays looked distinctly warmish, almost dark brown. Since this is impossible (they're coded in hex to tell your OS to send equal amounts of RGB to the monitor) I thought I should check my calibration.

It shames me to admit it's been over 2 months since I last calibrated (I, who advocate weekly calibrations) and sure enough, it was off.

So, if you're seeing warm or cold grays in any of the frames or backgrounds on this website, check your monitor calibration. If you need a refresher, see my tutorial over in the Tutorials section.

I know it's Windows-oriented, I do wish some kind Mac person would do one for Colorsync (Macs don't use Adobe Gamma).

    Hello Everyone,

I've just invested in a Gretagmacbeth Eye One Display and calibrated my monitor for the first time yesterday.
