  • Beginners book for Photoshop Elements 2

I would appreciate any advice on a beginners book for PSE2. I am new to digital photography and editing. I have tried and been disappointed by "PSE2 for Dummies." I have found it to be a catalogue of commands with little rational for their use.
Any and all input will be appreciated.

Wasn't sure where to put this post. I am looking for suggestions for the best book on Photoshop Elements 2.0 that has color images and is not beginner. I already have a beginner book and it makes me want to pull my hair out. I want something that when discussing color correction for example it goes...

Does the HPE 4 book will apply to Elements 5.0?
    by craigpc
I've been using Elements 5.0 for a while now and having discovered this forum I now read that Richard's HPE 5.0 book isn't likely to be published, although is it safe to assume that the 5.0 tools will be released?

My question is how much of the HPE 4 book would be applicable to Elements...

Adobe Photoshop Layers Book: useful for Elements?
    by willdoak
For me, layers seem the hardest-to-understand part of Elements. I'm wondering if this book, even though written specifically for Photoshop, would be helpful in understanding the principles of using layers, or whether it's too tied to specific tools in Photoshop to be helpful.

The New Hidden Power Book (and Tools) for Elements 4
    by Richard_Lynch
Adobe has thrown another wrench in the works for Elements 4, and I've been spending a very long time on making everything work again. I have just completed the writing, so the book should be out in a few months (February). I will have the tool set complete in the beginning of January...this time with...

The Hidden Power of PSE 5 book
    by rolandhh
    Hi everyone.
I'm also waiting for the book for PSE 5 to be published.
I still haven't read all of the PSE 4 book though.
I have managed to make the tools for the PSE 4 book run with PSE 5 without any difficulties. The thumbnails for the tools are missing in PSE 5, but I can live...
