  • Dual Monitors and MS Excel

This isn't a graphics related question, but I don't know what to do and I could sure some help.

I have dual monitors and I am running windows XP Prof. with Office 97. Until recently I could transfer all my programs to either monitor. Now when I click Restore Down so I can transfer Microsoft Excel to the other monitor, Excel disappears right off the screen. Does anyone have a suggestion for this problem?

    Thanks.

There must be a leak in your monitor.

DJ you are so funny. Even though you couldn’t solve my problem. You sure gave me a good laugh.

I hope I didn't get too technical for you Sharon. With my advanced knowledge of computers I tend to do that sometimes.

I found the problem! I thought I would post the solution incase it happens to someone else.

Since the Excel document was disappearing off the screen, I decided to change my screen resolution from 1024x768 to 800x600. After doing this I could see my worksheet was reduced to a very small size. I resized it manually then changed my resolution back to 1024x768. Now when I click Restore Down, my worksheet stays on the screen. So when I need to, I can move it to the other monitor.

          Sorry DJ, no monitor leak.

Oh Yes, I knew that was the problem. I could have told you that. NOT

I'm glad you figured it out Sharon. I don't know how you figured it out but maybe you at least had some fun looking for the leak. Guess that's the last time you will look for technical answers from me.

              Dual monitor calibration
              by foxgirl26
              Hello,
I contacted Spyder by Colorvision regarding dual monitor calibration and they told me it's not supported by Windows XP or Vista.

I know its possible somehow I just dont know how. I knew someone a while back who had accomplished it.

              The Spyder rep said only...

              Dual Monitor problem
              by sheika
I’ve had my Dell computer and dual Samsung monitors for 6 months without a problem, then all of a sudden the left monitor stopped working and they display properties indicates only one monitor connected.

So I uninstalled the video driver and then installed the latest driver for...

              Dual Monitors
              by miamibear
              Hello,

I recently bought a Gateway computer that supports two monitors. Currently I'm only using one, but from what I've read you can set up Photoshop to show your palettes on one monitor and artwork on the other monitor?

Is this pretty much a plug-n-play thing or does...

              Running dual monitors
              by albatrosss
I recently bought a computer with a 128MB ATI Radeon Graphics card. I was told that it would run 2 monitors. Today I went to buy a dual monitor Y adapter cable and I was told that I would get the same image on both monitors. My intent was to have the tools etc on one monitor and the image on the...

              Calibrating a Dual Monitor Setup
              by Syd
How do I calibrate for a dual monitor setup? Surely, in order for it to be accurate you need a profile for each monitor? Is there a way to do this? Or should I just calibrate my main monitor and forget about the other? I have a CRT which I connect up to my laptop. The laptop's colors, even though...
